Many people have faced rejection in one way or another. Rejection is that feeling of ‘unwantedness’ and ‘not belonging’.
We were made to feel loved, appreciated, accepted, to be happy and for our emotions to be expressed in a positive way.
Why does rejection happen? Rejection can happen not because you have done anything wrong but because this is just the way it is. Society can reject us for who we are, due to race, colour, background, looks, achievement, status or gender.
We can also face rejection in our relationships with people that are close to us. When relationships like this end, it can cause a lot of pain. This can be hard for some people as some people are more sensitive than others.
Rejection is not a good especially if it continues for long as it can lead to depression, loneliness and self-esteem issues.
One tip for overcoming rejection:
God loves you the way you are; you do not have to earn anything to prove your worth!
